Budgeting in Switzerland without handing over bank access

Switzerland pairs TWINT and high living costs with a strong instinct for financial privacy. Cash Compass tracks francs in German, French or Italian and never asks for access to your bank.

Apple-native · No bank logins · iCloud sync

Why this fits

Why budgeters in Switzerland pick Cash Compass

1

Privacy without handing over bank access

Financial discretion is taken seriously in Switzerland, and giving a third-party aggregator credentials to a UBS, PostFinance, Raiffeisen or cantonal bank account runs against that instinct. Cash Compass never asks: there is no aggregator, no stored access, no credentials in the system at all. Transactions stay on your device, and premium sync uses your own iCloud account rather than servers we operate.

2

Francs, in any of Switzerland's languages

Set CHF at onboarding and every total, chart axis and CSV export uses francs. German, French and Italian are all among the 33 translated languages, and interface language is chosen independently of currency — so a household in Switzerland can run one phone in German and another in French against the same CHF budget, with premium iCloud sync keeping both aligned.

3

TWINT and cross-border spending

TWINT covers a growing share of everyday payments in Switzerland and is meaningless to a US import pipeline, while shopping trips across the border add euro spending to a franc budget. Because Cash Compass supports every ISO currency and lets you switch without disturbing history, both cases are settings rather than obstacles — and cash still gets counted, which no feed manages.

How it works

Three taps from blank screen to budget

  1. 1. Capture

Voice, photo of a receipt, or 3-tap manual entry — every method takes under 5 seconds.

  2. 2. Categorize

Cash Compass picks the category automatically. Override once and it learns your pattern.

  3. 3. Review

Weekly chart shows where money went. Adjust caps before the month is over, not after.

FAQ

Common questions

Does it connect to Swiss banks?

No, deliberately. UBS, PostFinance, Raiffeisen and cantonal banks are all supported equally because none of them are connected — you record spending rather than importing it, and no credentials ever exist to be exposed.

Can I track in Swiss francs?

Yes. CHF is selectable at setup and changeable later, and totals, charts and exports all follow it. Every ISO currency is supported, which helps for cross-border shopping in euro.

Is the app available in German, French or Italian?

All three are among the 33 translated languages, and each device chooses its own interface language independently of the currency — so a multilingual household can share one CHF budget comfortably.

Where is my financial data stored?

On your device, and with premium it syncs through your personal iCloud account rather than our infrastructure. Since Cash Compass holds no bank credentials, there is no central store of banking access to breach.
