India

An expense tracker built for how India actually spends

No major Western budgeting app connects to Indian bank accounts, and UPI moves faster than any statement feed. Cash Compass works in rupees, in Hindi or English, without asking for a single credential.

Why this fits

Why budgeters in India pick Cash Compass

1

Why imported budgeting apps don't fit India

YNAB, Copilot Money, Monarch and Rocket Money are built for North American banking and none of them connect to Indian accounts. That leaves manual tracking as the realistic option in India regardless of which app you choose — so the question becomes which app makes manual tracking fastest. Cash Compass is designed around that: voice capture, receipt photos and three-tap entry rather than an import pipeline that was never coming.

2

Rupees, and Hindi if you want it

Choose INR during setup and every total, chart axis and export uses rupees. Cash Compass includes Hindi among its 33 translated languages, and language is independent of currency, so an interface in Hindi with INR amounts is a normal configuration rather than a compromise. Multi-currency support matters too if you're paid by overseas clients.

3

Suited to UPI-speed spending

UPI made small payments effortless and constant — a ₹40 chai, a ₹120 auto ride, a split dinner — which is exactly the spending that vanishes from memory by the weekend. There's no aggregator that reliably narrates it back to you. Speaking an expense the moment it happens takes a couple of seconds and produces a categorised record that a monthly statement never would.

How it works

Three taps from blank screen to budget

  1. 1. Capture

Voice, photo of a receipt, or 3-tap manual entry — every method takes under 5 seconds.

  2. 2. Categorize

Cash Compass picks the category automatically. Override once and it learns your pattern.

  3. 3. Review

Weekly chart shows where money went. Adjust caps before the month is over, not after.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Cash Compass connect to Indian bank accounts or UPI?

No. It has no bank connections in any country, so nothing about India is a coverage gap. You record spending by voice, by photographing a bill, or manually — which works identically for UPI payments, cards and cash.

Does it support Indian rupees?

Yes. INR is chosen at setup or in Settings afterwards, and all amounts, charts and CSV exports use it. Every ISO currency is supported, so freelancers billing in USD or EUR can switch without losing history.

Is the app available in Hindi?

Yes, Hindi is one of the 33 translated languages. Interface language and currency are separate settings, so you can use Hindi with rupee amounts.

Do I have to pay in dollars?

No — the App Store charges in rupees at India's regional pricing. The free tier covers unlimited manual logging permanently, and the annual premium plan begins with a 14-day free trial.
